Nearly 1,000 Local Skiers and Snowboarders Got Stoked for Winter at Lee Canyon’s Fourth Annual Pray for Snow Party Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 2, 2019) –Today, Lee Canyon, Southern Nevada’s premier year-round outdoor recreation destination and a POWDR company, hosted its fourth annual Pray for Snow Party at Skye Canyon’s Skye Center from 3 to 7 p.m. The all-ages free event attracted nearly 1,000 local skiers and snowboarders, the largest turnout in the event’s history. Parties like Pray for Snow are a longstanding tradition in ski towns to get locals psyched for the upcoming winter. In addition to picking up 2019/20 season passes, guests enjoyed live music by Rein, a vendor village, giveaways, and food and beverages.

Pray for Snow also kicked off Lee Canyon’s second annual Spread the Warmth coat and beanie drive benefitting Project 150. The new beanies and new or gently used winter coats will help the more than 6,300 registered and non-registered homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students. The drive runs through Friday, Nov. 29, and for every item donated at Skye Center, Skye Canyon will donate $25 up to $5,000. The donations will be presented to Project 150 on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Skye Canyon Park.

Lee Canyon is a partner in Skye Canyon’s Skye Pass program that offers residents living in the master-planned community exclusive benefits including special rates on season passes as well as one-day lift and tubing tickets.

Lee Canyon will open for its 2019-20 winter season on Friday, Dec. 6, weather permitting. The season also marks the opening of  Hillside Lodge. During the winter season, the resort is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests planning on visiting Lee Canyon are encouraged to purchase lift and tubing tickets on their website for online discounts and to avoid sold-out dates.
